2For they have taken of their daughters to them and to their sons, and have mingled the holy seed with the people of the lands. 14that we shall not turn away, and make irrita facere: thwart or annoy; make void, of no effect thy commandments, neither should join matrimonies with the peoples of these abominations. Why art thou angry with us unto utter destruction, not to leave us a remnant unto salvation?that we shal not turne away, and make frustrate thy commandementes, neither should ioyne matrimonies with the peoples of these abominations. Why art thou angrie with vs vnto vtter destruction, not to leaue vs a remnant vnto saluation?✦ut non converteremur, et irrita faceremus mandata tua, neque matrimonia jungeremus cum populis abominationum istarum. 15Lord God of Israel thou art just: because we are left, which should be saved as at this day.
