He made also houses for himself in the city of David: and built a place for the Ark of God, & pitched a tabernacle for it.HE made also houses for him selfe in the citie of Dauid: and built a place for the Arke of God, & pitcht a tabernacle for it.Fecit quoque sibi domos in civitate David : et ædificavit locum arcæ Dei, tetenditque ei tabernaculum.

2Then said David: It is unlawful that the Ark of God be carried of any man, but of the Levites: whom our Lord chose to carry it, and to minister unto himself for ever.Then sayd Dauid: It is vnlawful that the Arke of God be caried of any man, but of the Leuites: whom our Lord chose to carie it, and to minister vnto himself for euer.Tunc dixit David : Illicitum est ut a quocumque portetur arca Dei nisi a Levitis, quos elegit Dominus ad portandum eam, et ad ministrandum sibi usque in æternum.

11And David called Sadoc, and Abiathar the Priests, and the Levites, Uriel, Asaia, Joel,And Dauid called Sadoc, and Abiathar the Priestes, and the Leuites, Vriel, Asaia, Ioel,Vocavitque David Sadoc et Abiathar sacerdotes, et Levitas, Uriel, Asaiam, Joël, Semeiam, Eliel, et Aminadab :

15And the sons of Levi took the Ark of God, as Moyses had commanded, according to the word of our Lord, upon their shoulders, on bars.And the sonnes of Leui tooke the Arke of God, as Moyses had commanded, according to the word of our Lord, vpon their shoulders, on barres.Et tulerunt filii Levi arcam Dei, sicut præceperat Moyses juxta verbum Domini, humeris suis in vectibus.

21and Banaias upon nables sang arcana: secret things, hidden matters. Moreover Mathathias, and Eliphalu, and Macenias, and Obededom, and Jehiel, and Ozaziu, upon harps for the octave sang a triumphant song.and Banaias vpon nables sang mysteries. 22And Chonenias the prince of the Levites, was chief over prophecy, to begin the melody: for he was very sapiens: crafty, sly; skilful, wise.And Chonenias the prince of the Leuites, was chiefe ouer prophecie, to beginne the melodie: for he was verie coning.Chonenias autem princeps Levitarum, prophetiæ præerat, ad præcinendam melodiam : erat quippe valde sapiens.

26And when God had holpen the Levites, which carried the Ark of the covenant of our Lord, there were immolated seven oxen, & seven rams.And when God had holpen the Leuites, which caried the Arke of the couenant of our Lord, there were immolated seuen oxen, & seuen rammes.Cumque adjuvisset Deus Levitas qui portabant arcam fœderis Domini, immolabantur septem tauri, et septem arietes.

27Moreover David was clothed with a robe of fine linen, and all the Levites that carried the Ark, and the singing men, and Chonenias the prince of prophecy among the singers: and David also was clothed with an ephod of linen.Moreouer Dauid was clothed with a robe of fine linen, and al the Leuites that caried the Arke, and the singing men, and Chonenias the prince of prophecie among the singers: and Dauid also was clothed with an Ephod of linen.Porro David erat indutus stola byssina, et universi Levitæ qui portabant arcam, cantoresque, et Chonenias princeps prophetiæ inter cantores : David autem etiam indutus erat ephod lineo.

28And all Israel brought the Ark of the covenant of our Lord in jubilo: a shout of joy, jubilation, and sounding with the sound of buccinæ: a reed wind instrument, and with trumpets, and cymbals, and nables, and harps.And al Israel brought the Arke of the couenant of our Lord in iubiley, and sounding with the sound of shaulme, and with trumpettes, and cymbals, and nables, and harpes.Universusque Israël deducebant arcam fœderis Domini in jubilo, et sonitu buccinæ, et tubis, et cymbalis, et nablis, et citharis concrepantes.

29And when the Ark of the covenant of our Lord was come unto the city of David, Michol the daughter of Saul looking forth through a window, saw David the king dancing and playing, and she despised him in her heart.And when the Arke of the couenant of our Lord was come vnto the citie of Dauid, Michol the daughter of Saul looking forth through a window, saw Dauid the king dancing and playing, and she despised him in her hart.Cumque pervenisset arca fœderis Domini usque ad civitatem David, Michol filia Saul prospiciens per fenestram vidit regem David saltantem atque ludentem, et despexit eum in corde suo.
