3At that time David stroke Adarezer also the king of Soba of the country of Hemath, when he went on to dilataret: speak at length; enlarge, extend his empire as far as the river Euphrates.At that time Dauid stroke Adazezer also the king of Soba of the countrie of Hemath, when he went on to dilate his empire as farre as the riuer Euphrates.Eo tempore percussit David etiam Adarezer regem Soba regionis Hemath, quando perrexit ut dilataret imperium suum usque ad flumen Euphraten.

13and he appointed a garrison in Edom, that Idumea should serve David: and our Lord saved David in all things, to which he went.and he appoynted a garryson in Edom, that Idumea should serue Dauid: and our Lord saued Dauid in al thinges, to which he went.et constituit in Edom præsidium, ut serviret Idumæa David : salvavitque Dominus David in cunctis ad quæ perrexerat.

14David therefore reigned over all Israel, and did judgement and justice to all his people.Dauid therfore reigned ouer al Israel, & did iudgement and iustice to al his people.Regnavit ergo David super universum Israël, et faciebat judicium atque justitiam cuncto populo suo.

15Moreover Joab the son of Sarvia was over the army, and Josaphat the son of Ahilud a commentariis: recorder, keeper of the chronicles.Moreouer Ioab the sonne of Saruia was ouer the armie, and Iosaphat the sonne of Ahilud commenter.Porro Joab filius Sarviæ erat super exercitum, et Josaphat filius Ahilud a commentariis :
