10Give me wisdom and intelligence, that I may come in and go out before thy people: for who can digne: fitly, adequately judge this thy people, which is so great?Geue me wisdom and intelligence, that I may come in & goe out before thy people: for who can worthely iudge this thy people, which is so great?✦Da mihi sapientiam et intelligentiam, ut ingrediar et egrediar coram populo tuo : quis enim potest hunc populum tuum digne, qui tam grandis est, judicare ?
11And God said to Salomon: Because this rather hath pleased thy heart, and thou hast not asked riches, and substantiam: wealth, possessions, not material or essence, and glory, not their lives that hate thee, no nor many days of life: but hast desired wisdom and knowledge, that thou mayst be able to judge my people, over which I have made thee king.And God sayd to Salomon: Because this rather hath pleased thy hart, and thou hast not asked riches, and substance, and glorie, not their liues that hate thee, no nor manie dayes of life: but hast desired wisdom and knowledge, that thou mayst be able to iudge my people, ouer which I haue made thee king.✦Dixit autem Deus ad Salomonem : Quia hoc magis placuit cordi tuo, et non postulasti divitias, et substantiam, et gloriam, neque animas eorum qui te oderant, sed nec dies vitæ plurimos : petisti autem sapientiam et scientiam, ut judicare possis populum meum super quem constitui te regem :
