And the word of our Lord came to Jehu the son of Hanani against Baasa, saying:AND the word of our Lord came to Iehu the sonne of Hanani agaynst Baasa, saying:Factus est autem sermo Domini ad Jehu filium Hanani contra Baasa, dicens :
2For so much as I have exalted thee out of the dust, and set thee ducem: a leader, commander over my people Israel, but thou hast walked in the way of Jeroboam, and hast made my people Israel to sin, that thou mightest anger me with their sins:For so much as I haue exalted thee out of the dust, & sette thee duke ouer my people Israel, but thou hast walked in the way of Ieroboam, and hast made my people Israel to sinne, that thou mightest anger me with their sinnes:✦Pro eo quod exaltavi te de pulvere, et posui te ducem super populum meum Israël, tu autem ambulasti in via Jeroboam, et peccare fecisti populum meum Israël, ut me irritares in peccatis eorum :
3behold, I will cut down the posterity of Baasa, and the posterity of his house, and I will make thy house as the house of Jeroboam the son of Nabat.behold, I wil cut downe the posteritie of Baasa, and the posteritie of his house, and I wil make thy house as the house of Ieroboam the sonne of Nabat.✦ecce ego demetam posteriora Baasa, et posteriora domus ejus, et faciam domum tuam sicut domum Jeroboam filii Nabat.

21Then was the people of Israel divided into two parts: the half part of the people followed Thebni the son of Gineth, to make him king: and the half part Amri.Then was the people of Israel diuided into two partes: the halfe part of the people folowed Thebni the sonne of Gineth, to make him king: and the halfe part Amri.Tunc divisus est populus Israël in duas partes : media pars populi sequebatur Thebni filium Gineth, ut constitueret eum regem : et media pars Amri.
