5And thou shalt say to them: Thus saith our Lord God: In the day that I chose Israel, and lifted up my hand for the stock of the house of Jacob: and appeared to them in the Land of Egypt, and lifted up my hand for them, saying; I the Lord your God:And thou shalt say to them: Thus saith our Lord God: In the day that I chose Israel, & lifted vp my hand for the stocke of the house of Iacob: and appeared to them in the Land of Ægypt, and lifted vp my hand for them, saying; I the Lord your God:✦Et dices ad eos : Hæc dicit Dominus Deus : In die qua elegi Israël, et levavi manum meam pro stirpe domus Jacob, et apparui eis in terra Ægypti, et levavi manum meam pro eis, dicens : Ego Dominus Deus vester :

13And the houses of Israel provoked me in the desert; they walked not in my precepts, and my judgements they rejected, which a man doing shall live in them: and my sabbaths they violated exceedingly. 26And I polluted them in their gifts, when they offered all that opened the vulvam: the womb, for their offences: and they shall know that I am the Lord.And I polluted them in their giftes, when they offered al that opened the matrice, for their offences: and they shal know that I am the Lord.✦Et pollui eos in muneribus suis, cum offerrent omne quod aperit vulvam, propter delicta sua : et scient quia ego Dominus.

28and I had brought them into the Land, upon which I lifted up my hand to give it them; they saw every high hill, and every woody tree, and there they immolaverunt: offered up in sacrifice their victims: and there they gave the irritationem: minor annoyance; the provocation, that which stirs up anger of their oblation, and there they put the odour of their sweetness, and offered their libationes: drink-offerings poured out.and I had brought them into the Land, vpon which I lifted vp my hand to geue it them; they saw euerie high hil, and euerie wooddie tree, and there they immolated their victims: and there they gaue the irritation of their oblation, and there they put the odour of their sweetnes, and offered their libations.✦et induxissem eos in terram super quam levavi manum meam ut darem eis : viderunt omnem collem excelsum, et omne lignum nemorosum, et immolaverunt ibi victimas suas, et dederunt ibi irritationem oblationis suæ, et posuerunt ibi odorem suavitatis suæ, et libaverunt libationes suas.
29And I said to them: What is the excelsum: the high place, the hill-shrine for sacrifice, unto which you go? and the name thereof was called Excelse even to this day.And I said to them: What is the excelse, vnto which you goe? & the name therof was called Excelse euen to this day.✦Et dixi ad eos : Quid est excelsum, ad quod vos ingredimini ? et vocatum est nomen ejus Excelsum usque ad hanc diem.
