2Son of man, set thy face against mount Seir, and thou shalt prophesy of it, and shalt say to it:Sonne of man set thy face against mount Seir, and thou shalt prophecie of it, and shalt say to it:Fili hominis, pone faciem tuam adversum montem Seir, et prophetabis de eo, et dices illi :

3Thus saith our Lord God: Behold I to thee mount Seir, and I will stretch forth my hand upon thee, and will make thee desolate and desert.Thus saith our Lord God: Behold I to thee mount Seir, and I wil stretch forth my hand vpon thee, and wil make thee desolate and desert.[Hæc dicit Dominus Deus : Ecce ego ad te, mons Seir : et extendam manum meam super te, et dabo te desolatum atque desertum.

5For eo quod: because thou hast been an everlasting enemy, and hast shut up the children of Israel into the hands of the sword in the time of their affliction, in the time of extreme iniquity.For that thou hast bene an euerlasting enemie, and hast shut vp the children of Israel into the handes of the sword in the time of their affliction, in the time of extreme iniquitie.Eo quod fueris inimicus sempiternus, et concluseris filios Israël in manus gladii in tempore afflictionis eorum, in tempore iniquitatis extremæ :

6Therefore live I, saith our Lord God, that I will deliver thee unto blood, and blood shall persecute thee: and whereas thou hast hated blood, blood shall persecute thee.Therfore liue I, saith our Lord God, that I wil deliuer thee vnto bloud, & bloud shal persecute thee: & wheras thou hast hated bloud, bloud shal persecute thee.propterea vivo ego, dicit Dominus Deus, quoniam sanguini tradam te, et sanguis te persequetur : et cum sanguinem oderis, sanguis persequetur te.

7And I will make mount Seir desolate and desert: and I will take from it the comer, and goer.And I wil make mount Seir desolate and desert: and I wil take from it the comer, and goer.Et dabo montem Seir desolatum atque desertum, et auferam de eo euntem et redeuntem.

8And I will fill his mountains with his slain: in thy hills, and in thy valleys, and in the torrents shall the slain with the sword fall.And I wil fil his mountaines with his slaine: in thy hilles, and in thy valleis, and in the torrents shal the slaine with the sword fal.Et implebo montes ejus occisorum suorum : in collibus tuis, et in vallibus tuis atque in torrentibus, interfecti gladio cadent.

9Into everlasting desolations will I deliver thee, and thy cities shall not be inhabited: and thou shalt know that I am the Lord God.Into euerlasting desolations wil I deliuer thee, and thy cities shal not be inhabited: and thou shalt know that I am the Lord God.In solitudines sempiternas tradam te, et civitates tuæ non habitabuntur : et scietis quia ego Dominus Deus.

10For that thou hast said: The two nations, and the two lands shall be mine, and I will possess them by inheritance: whereas our Lord was there.For that thou hast said: The two nations, and the two landes shal be mine, and I wil possesse them by inheritance: wheras our Lord was there.Eo quod dixeris : Duæ gentes et duæ terræ meæ erunt, et hæreditate possidebo eas, cum Dominus esset ibi :

11Therefore live I, saith our Lord God, that I will do according to thy wrath, and according to thy zeal, which thou hast used hating them: and I will be made known by them, when I shall have judged thee.Therfore liue I, saith our Lord God, that I wil doe according to thy wrath, and according to thy zele, which thou hast vsed hating them: and I wil be made knowne by them, when I shal haue iudged thee.propterea vivo ego, dicit Dominus Deus, quia faciam juxta iram tuam, et secundum zelum tuum, quem fecisti odio habens eos : et notus efficiar per eos, cum te judicavero.

12And thou shalt know that I the Lord have heard all thy reproaches, that thou hast spoken of the mountains of Israel, saying: They are desert, they are given unto us to devour.And thou shalt know that I the Lord haue heard al thy reproches, that thou hast spoken of the montaines of Israel, saying: They are desert, they are geuen vnto vs to deuoure.Et scies quia ego Dominus audivi universa opprobria tua quæ locutus es de montibus Israël, dicens : Deserti nobis ad devorandum dati sunt.

13And you rose up upon me with your mouth, and have derogastis: detracted/spoke slightingly your words against me: I heard it.And you rose vp vpon me with your mouth, & haue derogated your wordes against me: I heard it.Et insurrexistis super me ore vestro, et derogastis adversum me verba vestra : ego audivi.

14Thus saith our Lord God: All the earth rejoicing, I will bring thee into a wildernessThus saith our Lord God: Al the earth reioycing, I wil bring thee into a wildernesHæc dicit Dominus Deus : Lætante universa terra, in solitudinem te redigam :

15As thou hast rejoiced upon the inheritance of the house of Israel, because it was dissipata: squandered; laid waste/scattered, so will I do to thee: Thou shalt be dissipated mount Seir, and all Idumea: and they shall know that I am the Lord.As thou hast reioyced vpon the inheritance of the house of Israel, because it was dissipated, so wil I doe to thee: Thou shalt be dissipated mount Seir, and al Idumea: and they shal know that I am the Lord.sicuti gavisus es super hæreditatem domus Israël eo quod fuerit dissipata, sic faciam tibi : dissipatus eris, mons Seir, et Idumæa omnis : et scient quia ego Dominus.]
