2And Phassur percussit: struck, smote (past tense of strike) Jeremie the prophet, and put him into the stocks, that was in the upper gate of Benjamin, in the house of our Lord.And Phassur stroke Ieremie the prophet, and put him into the stockes, that was in the vpper gate of Beniamin, in the house of our Lord.✦Et percussit Phassur Jeremiam prophetam, et misit eum in nervum quod erat in porta Benjamin superiori, in domo Domini.
3And when it was light on the morrow, Phassur brought forth Jeremie out of the stocks. 10For I heard the contumelias: insults, abusive reproaches of many, and terror on every side: persecute ye, and let us persecute him: of all the men, that were my pacifici: those at peace with me, my familiar friends, and guarding my side: if by any means he may be deceived, and we prevail against him, and be revenged on him.For I heard the contumelies of manie, & terrour on euerie side: persecute ye, and let vs persecute him: of al the men, that were my peaceables, and garding my side: if by anie meanes he may be deceiued, and we preuaile against him, & be reuenged on him.✦Audivi enim contumelias multorum, et terrorem in circuitu : Persequimini, et persequamur eum, ab omnibus viris qui erant pacifici mei, et custodientes latus meum : si quomodo decipiatur, et prævaleamus adversus eum, et consequamur ultionem ex eo.
