Another thing required to this security, is to dwell within Jerusalem, not the terrestrial city, for (as S. And no less assuredly God will punish not only the notorious wicked, and principal authors of wickedness, but also all those that for fear or for commodity, or for any other cause, decline into obligations, bonds, covenants, or any way consent, in external show with the wicked against God, as in outward profession of Heresy, or Schism, though such temporizers do not think in their heart, that the pretended religion is true, whereto they are drawn to yield external conformity. For, as the Psalmist here teacheth, our Lord will bring all such accessory offenders, to the same judgement and punishment, with the principal workers of iniquity. · peace.
