2Lord in thy power the king shall be glad: and upon thy salvation he shall rejoice exceedingly.LOrd in thy power the king ſhal be glad: and vpon thy ſaluation he ſhal reioyce exceedingly.Domine, in virtute tua lætabitur rex, et super salutare tuum exsultabit vehementer.
3The desire of his heart thou hast given him: and of the will of his lips thou hast not defrauded him.The deſire of his hart thou haſt geuen him: and of the wil of his lippes thou haſt not defrauded him.Desiderium cordis ejus tribuisti ei, et voluntate labiorum ejus non fraudasti eum.
4Because thou hast prævenisti: hindered, stopped; gone before, forestalled, anticipated him in blessings of sweetness: thou hast put on his head a crown of precious stone.Becauſe thou haſt preuented him in bleſſinges of ſweetneſſe: thou haſt put on his head a crowne of pretious ſtone.Quoniam prævenisti eum in benedictionibus dulcedinis ; posuisti in capite ejus coronam de lapide pretioso.
