Then Tobias called the Angel to him, whom he thought to be a man, and he said to him: Brother Azarias, I pray thee hearken to my words:THEN Tobias called the Angel to him, whom he thought to be a man, and he sayd to him: Brother Azarias, I pray thee harken to my wordes:Tunc vocavit Tobias angelum ad se, quem quidem hominem existimabat, dixitque ei : Azaria frater, peto ut auscultes verba mea.
2If I should deliver my self to be thy servant I shall not deserve thy providentiæ: the divine governance of all things; provident care and foresight made on my behalf.If I should deliuer my self to be thy seruant I shal not deserue thy prouidence.✦Si meipsum tradam tibi servum, non ero condignus providentiæ tuæ :

5And surely thou seest how Raguel hath adjuravit: solemnly charged me under oath me, whose adjuring I can not despise.And surely thou seest how Raguel hath adiured me, whose adiuring I can not dispise.Et certe vides quomodo adjuravit me Raguel, cujus adjuramentum spernere non possum.

9and said: The God of Israel bless thee, because thou art the son of a very good man, and just, and that feareth God, and doth almsdeeds:and sayd: The God of Israel blesse thee, because thou art the sonne of a verie good man, and iust, and that feareth God, and doth almes deedes:et dixit : Benedicat te Deus Israël, quia filius es optimi viri et justi, et timentis Deum, et eleemosynas facientis :
10and blessing be given upon thy wife, and upon your parents:and blessing be geuen vpon thy wife, and vpon your parentes:✦et dicatur benedictio super uxorem tuam, et super parentes vestros,
11and that you may see your children, and your children's children, unto the third and fourth generation: and your seed be blessed of the God of Israel, who reigneth for ever and ever.& that you may see your children, and your childrens children, vnto the third & fourth generation: and your seede be blessed of the God of Israel, who reigneth fer euer and euer.et videatis filios vestros, et filios filiorum vestrorum, usque in tertiam et quartam generationem : et sit semen vestrum benedictum a Deo Israël, qui regnat in sæcula sæculorum.
