And our Lord showed me Jesus the magnum: chief, the great one priest standing before the Angel of our Lord: and Satan stood on his right hand, to be his adversary.AND our Lord shewed me a Iesus the grand priest standing before the Angel of our Lord: and Satan stood on his right hand, to be his aduersarie.✦Et ostendit mihi Dominus Jesum sacerdotem magnum, stantem coram angelo Domini : et Satan stabat a dextris ejus ut adversaretur ei.
2And our Lord said to Satan: The Lord give rebuke on thee Satan: and the Lord that chose Jerusalem give rebuke on thee: Why, is not this a torris: a brand plucked burning from the fire, taken out of the fire?And our Lord sayd to Satan: The Lord geue rebuke on thee Satan: and the Lord that chose Ierusalem geue rebuke on thee: Why, is not this a firebrand, taken out of the fire?Et dixit Dominus ad Satan : Increpet Dominus in te, Satan ! et increpet Dominus in te, qui elegit Jerusalem ! numquid non iste torris est erutus de igne ?
3And Jesus was clothed with filthy garments: and he stood before the face of the Angel.And Iesus was clothed b with filthie garments: and he stood before the face of the Angel.✦Et Jesus erat indutus vestibus sordidis, et stabat ante faciem angeli.
4Who answered, and said to them that stood before him, saying: Take away the filthy garments from him. And he said to him: Behold I have taken away thine iniquity, and have clothed thee with change of garments.Who answered, and sayd to them that stood before him, saying: Take away the filthie garments from him. And he sayd to him: Behold I haue taken away thine iniquitie, and haue clothed thee with change of garments.✦Qui respondit, et ait ad eos qui stabant coram se, dicens : Auferte vestimenta sordida ab eo. Et dixit ad eum : Ecce abstuli a te iniquitatem tuam, et indui te mutatoriis.
5And he said: Put a clean cidaris: the priestly turban upon his head: and they put a clean mitre upon his head, and clothed him with garments: and the Angel of our Lord stood.And he said: Put a cleane mitre vpon his head: & they put a cleane mitre vpon his head, and clothed him with garments: and the Angel of our Lord stood.✦Et dixit : Ponite cidarim mundam super caput ejus. Et posuerunt cidarim mundam super caput ejus, et induerunt eum vestibus : et angelus Domini stabat.
6And the Angel of our Lord contestabatur: solemnly charged, adjured: not disputed or fought Jesus, saying:And the Angel of our Lord contested Iesus, saying:✦Et contestabatur angelus Domini Jesum, dicens :
7Thus saith the Lord of exercituum: armies: the heavenly armies, not guests: If you will walk in my ways, and keep my watch, thou also shalt judge my house, and shalt keep my courts, and I will give thee ambulantes: some to walk with thee, attendants of them that now assistunt: stand by, attend: not help here.Thus saith the Lord of hosts: If you wil walke in my wayes, and keepe my watch, thou also shalt iudge my house, and shalt keepe my courts, and I c wil geue thee walkers of them that now assist here.Hæc dicit Dominus exercituum : Si in viis meis ambulaveris, et custodiam meam custodieris, tu quoque judicabis domum meam, et custodies atria mea, et dabo tibi ambulantes de his qui nunc hic assistunt.
8Hear O Jesus thou grand priest, thou and thy friends that dwell before thee, because they are portendentes: given as a sign, foreshadowing men: for behold I will bring my servant the Orientem: the Dawn, the Rising: a title of Christ the Branch.Heare ô Iesus thou grand priest, thou and thy frendes that dwel before thee, because they are portending men: for behold I WIL BRING d MY SERVANT THE ORIENT.✦Audi, Jesu sacerdos magne, tu et amici tui, qui habitant coram te, quia viri portendentes sunt : ecce enim ego adducam servum meum Orientem.
9Because lo the stone that I laid before Jesus: upon one stone there be seven eyes, behold I will cælabo: engrave, carve the graving thereof, saith the Lord of hosts: and I will take away the iniquity of that land in one day.Because loe the stone that I layd before Iesus: vpon one stone there be seuen eyes, behold I wil graue the grauing therof, sayth the Lord of hosts: & I wil take away the iniquitie of that land in one day.Quia ecce lapis quem dedi coram Jesu : super lapidem unum septem oculi sunt : ecce ego cælabo sculpturam ejus, ait Dominus exercituum, et auferam iniquitatem terræ illius in die una.
10In that day, saith the Lord of hosts, every man shall call his friend under the vine and under the fig tree.In that day, sayth the Lord of hosts, euerie man shal cal his frende vnder the vine and vnder the figtree.✦In die illa, dicit Dominus exercituum, vocabit vir amicum suum subter vitem et subter ficum.
