4And all Israel heard this manner of famam: a rumour, noised report, not a beast or brutishness: Saul hath stricken the garrison of the Philisthiims: and Israel took courage against the Philisthiims. The people therefore cried after Saul in Galgal.And al Israel heard this maner of brute: Saul hath striken the garrison of the Philisthijms: and Israel tooke courage against the Philisthijms. 5And the Philisthiims were gathered together to fight against Israel, thirty thousand chariots, and six thousand horsemen, and the rest of the common people, as the sand which is in the sea shore very much. 9Saul therefore said: Bring me the holocaustum: a whole burnt sacrifice, not a catastrophe, and the pacifica: peace offerings. And he offered the holocaust.Saul therfore said: Bring me the holocauste, and the pacifiques. And he offered the holocauste.✦Ait ergo Saul : Afferte mihi holocaustum et pacifica. 12I said: Now will the Philisthiims come down to me into Galgal, & I have not pacified the face of our Lord. 13And Samuel said to Saul: Thou hast done foolishly, neither hast thou kept the commandments of our Lord thy God, which he commanded thee. 17And there issued forth to praedandum: to plunder, take spoil, not to hunt as a beast from the camp of the Philisthians three companies.
