5And when they were come into the Land of Suph, Saul said to the servant that was with him: Come let us return, lest perhaps my father hath let alone the asses, and be sollicitus: anxious, solicitous, full of care, not cautious for us.And when they were come into the Land of Suph, Saul saide to the seruant that was with him: Come let vs returne, lest perhaps my father hath let alone the asses, and be careful for vs.Cum autem venissent in terram Suph, dixit Saul ad puerum qui erat cum eo : Veni et revertamur, ne forte dimiserit pater meus asinas, et sollicitus sit pro nobis.

7And Saul said to his servant: Lo we will go: what shall we carry to the man of God? The bread is spent in our sitarciis: bags, wallets, provision pouches, not men: and present we have none to give unto the man of God, nor any thing else.And Saul sayd to his seruant: Loe we wil goe: what shal we carie to the man of God? The bread is spent in our males: and present we haue none to geue vnto the man of God, nor any thing els.✦Dixitque Saul ad puerum suum : Ecce ibimus : quid feremus ad virum Dei ? panis defecit in sitarciis nostris, et sportulam non habemus ut demus homini Dei, nec quidquam aliud.
8Again the servant answered Saul, and said: Behold there is found in my hand the fourth part of a stateris: a silver coin, a weight of money of silver, let us give it to the man of God, that he may tell us our way.Agayne the seruant answered Saul, and sayd: Behold there is found in my hand the fourth part of a stater of siluer, let vs geue it to the man of God, that he may tel vs our way.Rursum puer respondit Sauli, et ait : Ecce inventa est in manu mea quarta pars stateris argenti : demus homini Dei, ut indicet nobis viam nostram.
9(For in time past in Israel so every man spake, going to consult God, Come, and let us go to the Seer. 10And Saul said to his servant: Thy word is very good, come let us go. And they went into the city, wherein the man of God was.And Saul sayd to his seruant: Thy word is very good, come let vs goe. 11And when they went up the ascent of the city, they found maids coming forth to draw water, and said to them: Is the Seer here?And when they went vp the ascent of the citie, they found maides comming forth to draw water, and sayd to them: Is the Seer here?Cumque ascenderent clivum civitatis, invenerunt puellas egredientes ad hauriendam aquam, et dixerunt eis : Num hic est videns ?
12Who answering said to them: Here he is. Lo before thee, make haste now: for this day he came into the city, because this day there is a sacrifice of the people in the excelso: the high place, the hill-shrine.Who answering sayd to them: Here he is. 13Entering into the city immediately you shall find him, before he go up into the excelse to eat. for the people will not eat till he come: because he will bless the hostiæ: the sacrificial victim, not an army or a crowd, and afterward they shall eat that are invited. 17And when Samuel had beheld Saul, our Lord said to him: Behold the man, of whom I told thee, this man shall rule over my people.And when Samuel had behield Saul, our Lord sayde to him: Behold the man, of whom I told thee, this man shal rule ouer my people.Cumque aspexisset Samuel Saulem, Dominus dixit ei : Ecce vir quem dixeram tibi : iste dominabitur populo meo.

19And Samuel answered Saul, saying: I am the Seer, go up before me into the excelse, that you may eat with me to day, and I will dismiss thee in the morning: and all things that are in thy heart, will I tell thee.And Samuel answered Saul, saying: I am the Seer, goe vp before me into the excelse, that you may eate with me to day, and I wil dismisse thee in the morning: and al thinges that are in thy hart, wil I tel thee.Et respondit Samuel Sauli, dicens : Ego sum videns : ascende ante me in excelsum, ut comedatis mecum hodie, et dimittam te mane : et omnia quæ sunt in corde tuo indicabo tibi.
20And concerning the asses, which thou didst lose three days agone, be not careful, because they are found. 21And Saul answering, said: Am not I the son of Jemini of the least tribe of Israel, and my kindred the last among all the families of the tribe of Benjamin? Why therefore hast thou spoken this word to me?And Saul answering, sayd: Am not I the sonne of Iemini of the least tribe of Israel, and my kindred the last among al the families of the tribe of Beniamin? Why therfore hast thou spoken this word to me?Respondens autem Saul, ait : Numquid non filius Jemini ego sum de minima tribu Israël, et cognatio mea novissima inter omnes familias de tribu Benjamin ? quare ergo locutus es mihi sermonem istum ?

23And Samuel said to the cook: Give the portion, which I gave thee, and commanded that thou shouldest lay it up apart with thee.And Samuel sayd to the cooke: Geue the portion, which I gaue thee, and commanded that thou shouldest lay it vp apart with thee.Dixitque Samuel coco : Da partem quam dedi tibi, et præcepi ut reponeres seorsum apud te.
24And the cook lifted up a shoulder, and set it before Saul. And Samuel said: Behold that which hath remained, set it before thee, and eat: because of purpose it was kept for thee, when I called the people. 26And when they were risen in the morning, and it began now to be light, Samuel called Saul in the high chamber, saying: Arise that I may dismiss thee. 27And when they came down in the uttermost part of the city, Samuel said to Saul: Speak to the servant that he go before us, and pass: but stay thou a little while, that I may tell thee the word of our Lord.And when they came downe in the vttermost part of the citie, Samuel said to Saul: Speake to the seruant that he goe before vs, and passe: but stay thou alitle while, that I may tel thee the word of our Lord.Cumque descenderent in extrema parte civitatis, Samuel dixit ad Saul : Dic puero ut antecedat nos et transeat : tu autem subsiste paulisper, ut indicem tibi verbum Domini.
