And Samuel took a little vessel of oil, and poured it upon his head, and kissed him, and said: Behold, our Lord hath anointed thee upon his inheritance to be prince, and thou shalt deliver his people out of the hands of their enemies, that are round about them. And this shall be a sign unto thee, that God hath anointed thee to be prince.AND Samuel tooke a litle vessel of oyle, and powred it vpon his head, and kissed him, and sayd: Behold, our Lord hath annointed thee vpon his inheritance to be prince, and thou shalt deliuer his people out of the handes of their enemies, that are round about them. 5After these things thou shalt come into the hill of God, where the garrison of the Philisthiims is: and when thou shalt be entered into the city, thou shalt meet there a flock of prophets coming down from the excelso: the high place, the hill-shrine, and before them psaltery and timbrel, and tibia: a reed pipe, a wind instrument, and harp, and themselves prophesying,After these thinges thou shalt come into the hil of God, where the garrison of the Philisthiimes is: and when thou shalt be entered into the citie, thou shalt meete there a flocke of prophetes coming downe from the excelse, and before them psalterie and tymbrel, and shalme, and harpe, and themselues prophecying,✦Post hæc venies in collem Dei, ubi est statio Philisthinorum : et cum ingressus fueris ibi urbem, obvium habebis gregem prophetarum descendentium de excelso, et ante eos psalterium, et tympanum, et tibiam, et citharam, ipsosque prophetantes.
