And Josias made a Phase: the Passover in Jerusalem to our Lord, and immolated the Phase: the paschal victim, the Passover the fourteenth moon of the month:AND Iosias made a Pasch in Ierusalem to our Lord, & immolated the Phase the fourtenth moone of the moneth:Et fecit Josias Pascha in Jerosolymis Domino, et immolavit Phase quarta decima luna primi mensis,

2appointing the Priests by courses of days clothed with stoles in the temple of our Lord.appointing the Priestes by courses of dayes clothed with stoles in the temple of our Lord.statuens sacerdotes per vices dierum stolis amictos in templo Domini.

3And he spake to the Levites the sacred servants of Israel, that they should sanctify themselves to our Lord in the placing of the holy ark of our Lord in the house, which king Salomon son of David built.And he spake to the Leuites the sacred seruantes of Israel, that they should sanctifie them selues to our Lord in the placing of the holie arke of our Lord in the house, which king Salomon sonne of Dauid built.Et dixit Levitis sacris servis Israël, ut sanctificarent se Domino in positione sanctæ arcæ Domini, in domo, quam ædificavit Salomon filius David rex.

4It shall not be for you to take it upon your shoulders. And now serve your Lord, and take the care of that nation Israel, in part according to your villages and tribes,It shal not be for you to take it vpon your shoulders. 23And the works of Josias were directed in the sight of his Lord in a heart full of fear:And the workes of Iosias were directed in the sight of his Lord in a hart ful of feare:Et directa sunt opera Josiæ in conspectu Domini sui in corde pleno metuentis :

25And after all this fact of Josias, came up Pharao the king of Egypt coming in Charcamis from the way upon Euphrates, and Josias went forth to meet him.And after al this fact of Iosias, came vp Pharao the king of Ægypt comming in Charcamis from the way vpon Euphrates, and Iosias went forth to meete him.Et post omnem actum hunc Josiæ, ascendit Pharao rex Ægypti, veniens in Charcamis ab itinere super Euphratem, et exiit obviam illi Josias.

26And the king of Egypt sent to Josias saying: What is there between me and thee king of Juda?And the king of Ægypt sent to Iosias saying: What is there betwen me & thee king of Iuda?Et misit rex Ægypti ad Josiam, dicens : Quid mihi et tibi est rex Judæ ?

27I was not sent of the Lord to fight against thee: for my battle is upon Euphrates, go down in haste.I was not sent of the Lord to fight against thee: for my battel is vpon Euphrates, goe downe in hast.Non sum missus a Domino ut pugnem contra te: super Euphratem enim bellum meum est, festinans descende.

28And Josias did not return upon his chariot: but endeavoured to overthrow him, not attending the word of the prophet from the mouth of our Lord:And Iosias did not returne vpon his chariote: but endeuoured to ouerthrow him, not attending the word of the prophet from the mouth of our Lord:Et non est reversus Josias super currum : sed expugnare eum conabatur, non attendens verbum prophetæ ex ore Domini :

30And the king said to his servants: Remove me from the battle, for I am weakened exceedingly. And forthwith his seruantes remoued him out of the battel.Et dixit rex pueris suis, Amovete me a prælio, infirmatus sum enim valde. Et statim amoverunt eum pueri ipsius de acie.

31And he went up into his second chariot: and coming to Jerusalem, died, and was buried in his fathers sepulchre.And he went vp into his second chariote: & comming to Ierusalem, dyed, and was buried in his fathers sepulchre.Et ascendit super currum secundarium suum : et perveniens Jerosolymam, vita functus est, et sepultus est in paterno sepulchro.

32And in all Jurie they mourned for Josias, and the rulers with their wives lamented him until this day. And this was given out to be done always unto all the stock of Israel.And in al Iurie they mourned for Iosias, & the rulers with their wiues lamented him vntil this day. And this was geuen out to be done alwayes vnto al the stocke of Israel.Et in tota Judæa lugebant Josiam : et qui præsidebant cum uxoribus lamentabant eum usque in hunc diem. Et datum est hoc fieri semper in omne genus Israël.

37And the king of Egypt made Joacim his brother king of Juda and Jerusalem:And the king of Ægypt made Ioacim his brother king of Iuda and Ierusalem:Et constituit rex Ægypti Joacim fratrem ipsius, regem Judæ et Jerusalem :
