The fifth part. Restoration of the temple, with things pertaining thereto: more especially the glory of the Church militant and triumphant.
In the five and twentieth year of our transmigratio: the carrying away into captivity, the exile, in the beginning of the year, the tenth of the month, the fourteenth year, after the city was stricken: in this self same day the hand of our Lord was made upon me, and he brought me thither.IN the fiue and twentith yeare of our transmigration, in the beginning of the yeare, the tenth of the moneth, the fourtenth yeare, after the citie was strooken: in this self same day the hand of our Lord was made vpon me, and he brought me thither.✦In vigesimo quinto anno transmigrationis nostræ, in exordio anni, decima mensis, quartodecimo anno postquam percussa est civitas, in ipsa hac die, facta est super me manus Domini, et adduxit me illuc.

4And the same man spake to me: Son of man, see with thine eyes, and hear with thine ears, and set thy heart on all things, which I will show thee: for thou art brought hither that they may be showed to thee: declare all things that thou seest, to the house of Israel.And the same man spake to me: Sonne of man, see with thine eyes, and heare with thine eares, and set thy hart on al thinges, which I wil shew thee: for thou art brought hither that they may be shewed to thee: declare al thinges that thou seest, to the house of Israel.✦Et locutus est ad me idem vir : Fili hominis, vide oculis tuis, et auribus tuis audi, et pone cor tuum in omnia quæ ego ostendam tibi, quia ut ostendantur tibi adductus es huc. 6And he came to the gate, that looked to the way of the east, and he ascended by the steps thereof: and he measured the threshold of the gate with one reed the breadth, that is, one threshold with one reed in breadth:And he came to the gate, that looked to the way of the east, & he ascended by the steppes therof: & he measured the threshold of the gate with one reede the bredth, that is, one threshold with one reede in bredth:✦Et venit ad portam quæ respiciebat viam orientalem, et ascendit per gradus ejus : et mensus est limen portæ calamo uno latitudinem, id est, limen unum calamo uno in latitudine.

13And he measured the gate from the roof of the chamber, even to the roof thereof, the breadth of five and twenty cubits: door against door.And he measured the gate from the roofe of the chamber, euen to the roofe therof, the bredth of fiue and twentie cubits: doore against doore.✦Et mensus est portam a tecto thalami usque ad tectum ejus, latitudinem viginti quinque cubitorum, ostium contra ostium.

15And before the face of the gate, which pertingebat: reached, extended even to the face of the entry of the inner gate, fifty cubits.And before the face of the gate, which raught euen to the face of the entrie of the inner gate, fiftie cubits.✦Et ante faciem portæ quæ pertingebat usque ad faciem vestibuli portæ interioris, quinquaginta cubitos.

22And the windows thereof, and the entry, and the gravings according to the measure of the gate, that looked to the East, and the ascent thereof was of seven steps, and an entry before it.And the windowes therof, and the entrie, and the grauings according to the measure of the gate, that looked to the East, and the ascent therof was of seuen steppes, and an entrie before it.✦Fenestræ autem ejus, et vestibulum, et sculpturæ secundum mensuram portæ quæ respiciebat ad orientem : et septem graduum erat ascensus ejus, et vestibulum ante eam.

26And on seven steps was the ascent to it: and an entry before the doors thereof: and there were graven palm trees, one on this side, and an other on that side in the front thereof.And on seuen steppes was the ascent to it: and an entrie before the doores therof: and there were grauen palme trees, one on this side, and an other on that side in the front therof.✦Et in gradibus septem ascendebatur ad eam, et vestibulum ante fores ejus : et cælatæ palmæ erant, una hinc, et altera inde, in fronte ejus.
27And the gate of the inner court in the way of the South: and he measured from gate even to gate in the way of the South, an hundred cubits.And the gate of the inner court in the way of the South: and he measured from gate euen to gate in the way of the South, an hundred cubits.✦Et porta atrii interioris in via australi : et mensus est a porta usque ad portam in via australi, centum cubitos.

45And he said to me: This is the chamber, which looketh to the way of the South, it shall be for the priests, that watch in the custodiis: keeping, custody, guard-duties, not a hospital ward of the temple.And he said to me: This is the chamber, which looketh to the way of the South, it shal be for the priests, that watche in the wardes of the temple.✦Et dixit ad me : Hoc est gazophylacium quod respicit viam meridianam : sacerdotum erit, qui excubant in custodiis templi.
46Moreover the chamber that looketh to the way of the North shall be for the priests, that watch upon the ministry of the altar. These are the children of Sadoc, which of the children of Levi approach to our Lord, to minister unto him.Moreouer the chamber that looketh to the way of the North shal be for the priests, that watche vpon the ministerie of the altar. These are the children of Sadoc, which of the children of Leui approch to our Lord, to minister vnto him.✦Porro gazophylacium quod respicit ad viam aquilonis, sacerdotum erit, qui excubant ad ministerium altaris : isti sunt filii Sadoc, qui accedunt de filiis Levi ad Dominum ut ministrent ei.

49And the length of the entry of twenty cubits: and the breadth of eleven cubits, and by eight steps was the ascent to it. And there were pillars in the fronts: one on this side, and an other on that side.And the length of the entrie of twentie cubits: and the bredth of eleuen cubits, and by eight steppes was the ascent to it. And there were pillers in the fronts: one on this side, & an other on that side.✦Longitudinem autem vestibuli viginti cubitorum, et latitudinem undecim cubitorum, et octo gradibus ascendebatur ad eam.
