6They therefore took Jeremie, and cast him into the lacum: the pit, the cistern, the dungeon, not a body of standing water of Melchias the son of Amelech, which was in the entry of the prison: and they let down Jeremie by ropes into the lake, wherein there was no water, but mire. 19And king Sedecias said to Jeremie: I am sollicitus: solicitous, anxious, full of care, not diligent or cautious because of the Jews, that are fled to the Chaldees: lest perhaps I be delivered into their hands, and they mock me.And king Sedecias said to Ieremie: I am careful because of the Iewes, that are fled to the Chaldees: lest perhaps I be deliuered into their handes, and they mocke me.✦Et dixit rex Sedecias ad Jeremiam : Sollicitus sum propter Judæos qui transfugerunt ad Chaldæos, ne forte tradar in manus eorum, et illudant mihi.
