Again Eliu chargeth Job with blasphemy, and other crimes: 10. sheweth the equity of God's judgement: 20. and that all things are subject to God's power and knowledge.Againe Eliu chargeth Iob with blasphemie, and other crimes, 10. sheweth the equitie of Gods iudgement: 20. and that al thinges are subiect to Gods powre and knowlege.

Eliu therefore pronouncing, spake these words also.ELIV therfore pronouncing, spake these wordes also.Pronuntians itaque Eliu, etiam hæc locutus est :

Hear ye wise men my words, and ye learned harken to me:Heare ye wise men my wordes, and ye learned harken to me:Audite, sapientes, verba mea : et eruditi, auscultate me.

For the ear probat: tries, tests words, and the throat discerneth meats by the taste. For the eare proueth wordes, and the threate discerneth meates by the tast.

Let us choose us judgement, and among us let us see what is the better.Let vs choose vs iudgement, and among vs let vs see what is the better.

Because Job said: I am just, and God hath subverted my judgement.Because Iob sayd: I am iust, and God hath subuerted my iudgement.Quia dixit Job : Justus sum, et Deus subvertit judicium meum.

For in judging me there is a lie: mine arrow is violent without any sin.For in iudging me there is a lie: mine arrow is violent without anie sinne. In judicando enim me mendacium est : violenta sagitta mea absque ullo peccato.

What man is there as is Job, that drinketh scorning as it were water? What man is there as is Iob, that drinketh skorning as it were water?

That goeth with them that work iniquity, and walketh with impious men? That goeth with them that worke iniquitie, and walketh with impious men?qui graditur cum operantibus iniquitatem, et ambulat cum viris impiis ?

For he hath said: Man shall not please God although he run with him.For he hath sayd: Man shal not please God although he runne with him.

Therefore ye cordati: prudent, sensible men hear me, far from God be impiety, and iniquity from the Omnipotent.Therfore ye discrete men heare me, far from God be impietie, and iniquitie from the Omnipotent.Ideo, viri cordati, audite me : absit a Deo impietas, et ab Omnipotente iniquitas.

For he will render a man his work, and according to the ways of every one he will recompense them. For he wil render a man his worke, and according to the waies of euerie one he wil recompence them.

For in very deed God will not condemn without cause, neither will the Omnipotent subvert judgement. For in verie deed God wil not condemne without cause, neither wil the Omnipotent subuert iudgement.

What other hath he appointed over the earth? or whom hath he set over the world, which he made? What other hath he appointed ouer the earth? or whom hath he sette ouer the world, which he made?

If he direct his heart to him, he shall draw his spirit and breath unto him.If he direct his hart to him, he shal drawe his spirit and breath vnto him.

All flesh shall fail together, and man shall return into ashes.Al flesh shal faile together, and man shal returne into ashes.Deficiet omnis caro simul, et homo in cinerem revertetur.

If then thou have understanding, hear that is said, and harken to the voice of my speech. If then thou haue vnderstanding, heare that is sayd, and harken to the voice of my speach.

Can he that loveth not judgement, be healed? and how doest thou so far condemn him, that is just? Can he that loueth not iudgement, be healed? and how doest thou so far condemne him, that is iust?numquid qui non amat judicium sanari potest ? et quomodo tu eum qui justus est in tantum condemnas ?

That sayeth to the king, Apostata: apostate, rebel: that calleth duces: nobles of ducal rank; leaders, chieftains impious:That sayth to the king, Apostata: that calleth dukes impious:Qui dicit regi : Apostata ; qui vocat duces impios ;

Who accepteth not the persons of princes: nor hath known the tyrant, when he contended against the poor man: for all are the work of his hands.Who accepteth not the persones of princes: nor hath knowen the tyrant, when he contended against the poore man: for al are the worke of his handes.qui non accipit personas principum, nec cognovit tyrannum cum disceptaret contra pauperem : opus enim manuum ejus sunt universi.

They shall suddenly die, and at midnight peoples shall be troubled, and shall pass, and take away the violent without hand. They shal sodenly die, and at midnight peoples shal be trubled, and shal passe, and take away the violent without hand.Subito morientur, et in media nocte turbabuntur populi : et pertransibunt, et auferent violentum absque manu.

For his eyes are upon the ways of men, and he considereth all their steps. For his eies are vpon the waies of men, and he considereth al their steppes.

There is not darkness, and there is not shadow of death, that they may be hid there which work iniquity. There is not darkenesse, and there is not shadow of death, that they may be hid there which worke iniquitie.

For it is no more in man's power, to come to God into judgement. For it is no more in mans powre, to come to God into iudgement.neque enim ultra in hominis potestate est, ut veniat ad Deum in judicium.

He shall destroy many, and innumerable, and shall make other to stand for them.He shal destroy manie, & innumerable, & shal make other to stand for them.

For he knoweth their works: and therefore he shall bring night, and they shall be destroyed. For he knoweth their workes: and therfore he shal bring night, and they shal be destroyed.

As impious men he hath stricken them in the place of them that see.As impious men he hath stroken them in the place of them that see.Quasi impios percussit eos in loco videntium :

Who as it were of purpose have revolted from him, and would not understand all his ways:Who as it were of purpose haue reuolted from him, and would not vnderstand al his waies:qui quasi de industria recesserunt ab eo, et omnes vias ejus intelligere noluerunt :

That they caused the cry of the needy man to come to him: and he heard the voice of the poor. That they caused the crie of the needie man to come to him: and he heard the voice of the poore.ut pervenire facerent ad eum clamorem egeni, et audiret vocem pauperum.

For he granting peace, who is there that can condemn? After he hide his countenance, who is there that may behold him, both upon nations, and upon all men?For he granting peace, who is there that can condemne? After he hide his countenance, who is there that may behold him, both vpon nations, and vpon al men?

Who maketh a man that is an hypocrite reign for the sins of the people.Who maketh a man that is an hypocrite reigne for the sinnes of the people.Qui regnare facit hominem hypocritam propter peccata populi.

Therefore because I have spoken to God, thee also I will not prohibit.Therfore because I haue spoken to God, thee also I wil not prohibite.

If I have erred, teach thou me: if I have spoken iniquity, I will add no more.If I haue erred, teach thou me: if I haue spoken iniquitie, I wil adde no more.

Doth God require it of thee, because it hath displeased thee? for thou beganst to speak, and not I: but if thou know any better thing, speak.Doth God require it of thee, because it hath displeased thee? for thou beganst to speake, and not I: but if thou know anie better thing, speake.

Let men of understanding speak to me, and let a wise man hear me.Let men of vnderstanding speake to me, and let a wiseman heare me.Viri intelligentes loquantur mihi, et vir sapiens audiat me.

But Job hath spoken foolishly, and his words sound not discipline. But Iob hath spoken folishly, and his wordes sound not discipline.

O my father, let Job be proved even to the end: cease not from the man of iniquity.O my father, let Iob be proued euen to the end: cease not from the man of iniquity.

Who addeth blasphemy upon his sins, let him be restrained in the mean time among us: and then let him provoke God to judgement with his speeches.Who addeth blasphemie vpon his sinnes, let him be restrayned in the meane time among vs: and then let him prouoke God to iudgement with his speaches.quia addit super peccata sua blasphemiam, inter nos interim constringatur : et tunc ad judicium provocet sermonibus suis Deum.
