Eliu pretending that Job had said God to be unjust, sheweth that man's piety nor impiety neither profiteth nor disprofiteth God: 13. and that he judgeth all things rightly.Eliu pretending that Iob had sayde God to be vniust, sheweth that mans pietie nor impietie neither profiteth nor disprofiteth God: 13. and that he iudgeth al thinges rightly.

Therefore Eliu again spake these words:THERFORE Eliu againe spake these wordes:Igitur Eliu hæc rursum locutus est :

Doth thy cogitatio: thought, reasoning seem just to thee, that thou saidst: I am juster than God?Doth thy cogitation seme iust to thee, that thou saydst: I am iuster then God?Numquid æqua tibi videtur tua cogitatio, ut diceres : Justior sum Deo ?

For thou saidst: That which is right doth not please thee: or what will it profit thee if I sin?For thou saydst: That which is right doth not please thee: or what wil it profite thee if I sinne?

Therefore will I answer to thy words, and to thy friends with thee.Therfore wil I answer to thy wordes, & to thy frendes with thee.Itaque ego respondebo sermonibus tuis, et amicis tuis tecum.

Look up to heaven and see, and behold the sky, that it is higher than thou.Looke vp to heauen and see, and behold the skie, that it is higher then thou.

If thou sin, what shalt thou hurt him? and if thine iniquities be multiplied, what shalt thou do against him?If thou sinne, what shalt thou hurt him? and if thine iniquities be multiplied, what shalt thou doe against him?

Moreover if thou do justly, what shalt thou give him, or what shall he receive of thy hand?Moreouer if thou doe iustly, what shalt thou geue him, or what shal he receiue of thy hand?

Man that is like to thee, thy impiety shall hurt: and thy justice shall help the son of man.Man that is like to thee, thy impietie shal hurt: and thy iustice shal helpe the sonne of man.

Because of the multitude of calumniatorum: slanderers, oppressors they shall cry: and shall wail for the force of the arm of tyrants.Because of the multitude of calumniatours they shal cry: and shal waile for the force of the arme of tyrantes.Propter multitudinem calumniatorum clamabunt, et ejulabunt propter vim brachii tyrannorum.

And he hath not said: Where is God, that made me, that hath given songs in the night?And he hath not sayd: Where is God, that made me, that hath geuen songs in the night?Et non dixit : Ubi est Deus qui fecit me, qui dedit carmina in nocte ;

Who teacheth us above the beasts of the earth, and instructeth us above the fowls of the air.Who teacheth vs aboue the beastes of the earth, and instructeth vs aboue the foules of the ayre.qui docet nos super jumenta terræ, et super volucres cæli erudit nos ?

There shall they cry, and he will not hear, because of the pride of the evil.There shal they crie, and he wil not heare, because of the pride of the euil.

God therefore will not hear without cause, and the Omnipotent will behold the causes of every one.God therfore wil not heare without cause, and the Omnipotent wil behold the causes of euerie one.

Yea when thou shalt say: He considereth not: be judged before him, and expecta: wait for him.Yea when thou shalt say: He considereth not: be iudged before him, & expect him.

For he doth not now infert: inflict, bring in his fury, neither doth he revenge wickedness exceedingly.For he doth not now inferte his furie, neither doth he reuenge wickednesse excedingly.

Therefore Job in vain openeth his mouth, and without knowledge multiplieth words.Therfore Iob in vaine openeth his mouth, and without knowledge multiplieth wordes.Ergo Job frustra aperit os suum, et absque scientia verba multiplicat.
