Unto the end, to the servant of our Lord David, who spake to our Lord the words of this canticle, in the day, that our Lord delivered him out of the hand of all his enemies, and out of the hand of Saul, and he said: (2. 22Because I have kept the ways of our Lord, neither have I done impiously from my God.Becauſe I haue kept the waies of our Lord, neither haue I done impiouſly from my God.quia custodivi vias Domini, nec impie gessi a Deo meo ;
23Because all his judgements are in my sight: and his justices I have not repelled from me.Becauſe al his iudgementes are in my ſight: and his iuſtices I haue not repelled from me.quoniam omnia judicia ejus in conspectu meo, et justitias ejus non repuli a me.
24And I shall be immaculate with him; and shall keep me from mine iniquity.And I ſhal be immaculate with him; and ſhal keepe me from mine iniquitie.Et ero immaculatus cum eo ; et observabo me ab iniquitate mea.

38I will pursue mine enemies, and overtake them: and will not return till they fail.I wil purſew myne enemies, and ouertake them: and wil not returne til they faile.Persequar inimicos meos, et comprehendam illos ; et non convertar donec deficiant.
39I will break them, neither shall they be able to stand: they shall fall under my feet.I wil breake them, neither ſhal they be able to ſtand: they ſhal fal vnder my feete.Confringam illos, nec poterunt stare ; cadent subtus pedes meos.
40And thou hast girded me with strength to battle: and hast supplantasti: tripped up: overthrew them that rise against me under me.And thou haſt girded me with ſtrength to battel: and haſt ſupplanted them that riſe againſt me vnder me.Et præcinxisti me virtute ad bellum, et supplantasti insurgentes in me subtus me.
41And mine enemies thou hast given me their back, and them that hate me thou hast destroyed.And myne enemies thou haſt geuen me their backe, and them that hate me thou haſt deſtroyed.Et inimicos meos dedisti mihi dorsum, et odientes me disperdidisti.
42They cried, neither was there that would save them, to our Lord; neither did he hear them.They cried, neither was there that would ſaue them, to our Lord; neither did he heare them.Clamaverunt, nec erat qui salvos faceret ; ad Dominum, nec exaudivit eos.
43And I will break them to powder, as the dust before the face of wind: as the dirt of the streets I will destroy them.And I wil breake them to powder, as the duſt before the face of winde: as the durt of the ſtreates I wil deſtroy them.Et comminuam eos ut pulverem ante faciem venti ; ut lutum platearum delebo eos.
