2and I have built a house to his name, that he might dwell there for ever.and I haue built a house to his name, that he might dwel there for euer.ego autem ædificavi domum nomini ejus, ut habitaret ibi in perpetuum.

8our Lord said to him: Because thy will was this, that thou wouldest build a house to my name, thou hast done well quidem: certainly, assuredly to have such a will:our Lord sayd to him: Because thy wil was this, that thou wouldest build a house to my name, thou hast done wel certes to haue such a wil:dixit Dominus ad eum : Quia hæc fuit voluntas tua, ut ædificares domum nomini meo, bene quidem fecisti hujuscemodi habere voluntatem :

18Is it credible then that God should dwell with men upon the earth? If heaven and the heavens of heavens do not take thee, how much more this house, which I have built?. If heauen and the heauens of heauens doe not take thee, how much more this house, which I haue built?Ergone credibile est ut habitet Deus cum hominibus super terram ? si cælum et cæli cælorum non te capiunt, quanto magis domus ista quam ædificavi ?

20that thou open thine eyes upon this house days and nights, upon the place, wherein thou hast promised that thy name should be invocated,that thou open thine eies vpon this house daies & nightes, vpon the place, wherein thou hast promised that thy name should be inuocated,ut aperias oculos tuos super domum istam diebus ac noctibus, super locum in quo pollicitus es ut invocaretur nomen tuum,
21and wouldest hear the prayer, which thy servant prayeth in it: and mayst hear the prayers of thy servant, and of thy people Israel. Whosoever shall pray in this place, hear out of thy habitation, that is from the heavens, and be propitious.and wouldest heare the prayer, which thy seruant prayeth in it: and mayst heare the prayers of thy seruant, and of thy people Israel. 22If any man shall sin against his neighbour, and come ready to swear against him, and bind himself with a curse before the altar in this house:If anie man shal sinne agaynst his neighbour, and come readie to sweare agaynst him, and binde himself with a curse before the altar in this house:Si peccaverit quispiam in proximum suum, et jurare contra eum paratus venerit, seque maledicto constrinxerit coram altari in domo ista :
23thou shalt hear from heaven, and shalt do the judgement of thy servants, so that thou render to the unjust his way upon his own head, and revenge the just, rewarding him according to his justice.thou shalt heare from heauen, and shalt doe the iudgement of thy seruantes, so that thou render to the vniust his way vpon his owne head, and reuenge the iust, rewarding him according to his iustice.tu audies de cælo, et facies judicium servorum tuorum, ita ut reddas iniquo viam suam in caput proprium, et ulciscaris justum, retribuens ei secundum justitiam suam.

27hear from heaven O Lord, and forgive the sins of thy servants and of thy people Israel, and teach them the good way, by the which they may go: and give rain to thy land, which thou hast given thy people to possess.heare from heauen ô Lord, and forgeue the sinnes of thy seruantes and of thy people Israel, and teach them the good way, by the which they may goe: and geue rayne to thy land, which thou hast geuen thy people to possesse.exaudi de cælo, Domine, et dimitte peccata servis tuis et populi tui Israël, et doce eos viam bonam, per quam ingrediantur : et da pluviam terræ quam dedisti populo tuo ad possidendum.

36And if they shall sin to thee ( for there is no man that sinneth not ) and thou be angry with them, and deliver them to the enemies, and they lead them captive into a far country, or which is near at the least,And if they shal sinne to thee ( for there is no man that sinneth not ) and thou be angrie with them, and deliuer them to the enemies, and they leade them captiue into a farre countrie, or which is neere at the least,Si autem peccaverint tibi (neque enim est homo qui non peccet), et iratus fueris eis, et tradideris hostibus, et captivos duxerint eos in terram longinquam, vel certe quæ juxta est,
