²And all these blessings shall come upon thee, and overtake thee: yet so if thou hear his precepts.And al these blessinges shal come vpon thee, and ouertake thee : yet so if thou heare his preceptes.Venientque super te universæ benedictiones istæ, et apprehendent te : si tamen præcepta ejus audieris.

⁴Blessed shall be the fruit of thy womb, and the fruit of thy ground, and the fruit of thy cattle, the troops of thy herds, and the folds of thy sheep.Blessed shal be the fruite of thy wombe, and the fruite of thy ground, and the fruite of thy cattel, the troupes of thy heardes, & the foldes of thy sheepe.Benedictus fructus ventris tui, et fructus terræ tuæ, fructusque jumentorum tuorum, greges armentorum tuorum, et caulæ ovium tuarum.

⁷Our Lord will give thine enemies, that rise up against thee, to fall down in thy sight: one way they shall come against thee, and seven ways they shall flee from thy face.Our Lord wil geue thyne enemies, that rise vp against thee, to fal downe in thy sight: one way they shal come against thee, and seuen wayes they shal flee from thy face.Dabit Dominus inimicos tuos, qui consurgunt adversum te, corruentes in conspectu tuo : per unam viam venient contra te, et per septem fugient a facie tua.

³⁴and astonished at the terror of those things, which thine eyes shall see.and astonished at the terrour of those thinges, which thyne eies shal see.et stupens ad terrorem eorum quæ videbunt oculi tui.

³⁵Our Lord strike thee with a very sore in the knees and , and be thou uncurable from the sole of the foot unto the top of thy head.Our Lord strike thee with a verie sore botche in the knees and shankes, and be thou vncurable from the sole of the foote vnto the toppe of thy head.Percutiat te Dominus ulcere pessimo in genibus et in suris, sanarique non possis a planta pedis usque ad verticem tuum.

⁴¹Thou shalt beget sons and daughters, and shalt not enjoy them: because they shall be led into captivity.Thou shalt begette sonnes and daughters, and shalt not enioy them: because they shal be ledde into captiuitie.Filios generabis et filias, et non frueris eis : quoniam ducentur in captivitatem.

⁴⁶And they shall be in thee as signs and wonders, and in thy seed for ever:And they shal be in thee as signes and wonders, and in thy seede for euer:Et erunt in te signa atque prodigia, et in semine tuo usque in sempiternum :

⁴⁷because thou didst not serve our Lord thy God in joy, and gladness of heart, for the abundance of all things.because thou didst not serue our Lord thy God in ioy, and gladnes of hart, for the abundance of al thinges.eo quod non servieris Domino Deo tuo in gaudio, cordisque lætitia, propter rerum omnium abundantiam.

⁴⁹Our Lord will bring upon thee a Nation from afar, and from the uttermost ends of the earth, in likeness of an eagle that flieth with vehemency: whose tongue thou canst not understand:Our Lord wil bring vpon thee a Nation from a farre, and from the vtermost endes of the earth, in likenes of an eagle that flieth with vehemencie: whose tongue thou canst not vnderstand:Adducet Dominus super te gentem de longinquo, et de extremis terræ finibus in similitudinem aquilæ volantis cum impetu, cujus linguam intelligere non possis :

⁵⁰a very Nation, that will attribute nothing to the , nor have pity on the little one,a verie malapert Nation, that wil attribute nothing to the ancient, nor haue pitie on the litle one,gentem procacissimam, quæ non deferat seni, nec misereatur parvuli,

⁵¹and will devour the fruit of thy cattle, and the fruits of thy Land: until thou perish, and will not leave thee wheat, wine, and oil, herds of oxen, and flocks of sheep: until it destroy thee,and wil deuoure the fruite of thy cattel, and the fruites of thy Land: vntil thou perish, and wil not leaue thee wheate, wine, and oile, heardes of oxen, and flockes of sheepe: vntil it destroy thee,et devoret fructum jumentorum tuorum, ac fruges terræ tuæ : donec intereas, et non relinquat tibi triticum, vinum, et oleum, armenta boum, et greges ovium : donec te disperdat,

⁵²and consume thee in all thy cities, and thy strong and high walls be destroyed, wherein thou hadst confidence in all thy Land. Thou shalt be besieged within thy gates in all thy Land, which our Lord thy God will give thee:and consume thee in al thy cities, and thy strong and highe walles be destroyed, wherin thou hadst confidence in al thy Land. ⁵⁷and the filthiness of the after births, that come forth from the midst of her thighs, and upon the children that are born the same hour. for they shall eat them secretly because of the penury of all things, in the siege and vastation, wherewith thine enemy shall oppress thee within thy gates.and the filthines of the after birthes, that come forth from the middes of her thighes, and vpon the children that are borne the same howre. for they shal eate them secretely because of the penurie of al thinges, in the siege and vastation, wherwith thine enemie shal oppresse thee within thy gates.et illuvie secundarum, quæ egrediuntur de medio feminum ejus, et super liberis qui eadem hora nati sunt. Comedent enim eos clam propter rerum omnium penuriam in obsidione et vastitate, qua opprimet te inimicus tuus intra portas tuas.

⁶⁵In those nations also thou shalt not be quiet, neither shall there be resting for the step of thy foot. For our Lord will give thee a fearful heart, and dazzling eyes, and a soul consumed with :In those nations also thou shalt not be quiet, neither shal there be resting for the steppe of thy foote. For our Lord wil geue thee a fearefull hart, and dasceling eies, and a soule consumed with pensifenes:In gentibus quoque illis non quiesces, neque erit requies vestigio pedis tui. Dabit enim tibi Dominus ibi cor pavidum, et deficientes oculos, et animam consumptam mœrore :

⁶⁶and thy life shall be as it were hanging before thee. Thou shalt fear night and day, and thou shalt not trust in thy life.and thy life shal be as it were hanging before thee. ⁶⁷In the morning thou shalt say: Who will grant me evening? and at evening: Who will grant me morning? for the fearfulness of thy heart, wherewith thou shalt be terrified, and for those things, which thou shalt see with thine eyes.In the morning thou shalt say: Who wil grant me euening? and at euening: Who wil grant me morning? for the fearefulnes of thy hart, wherwith thou shalt be terrified, and for those thinges, which thou shalt see with thyne eies.Mane dices : Quis mihi det vesperum ? et vespere : Quis mihi det mane ? propter cordis tui formidinem, qua terreberis, et propter ea, quæ tuis videbis oculis.

⁶⁸Our Lord shall bring thee again with ships into Egypt by the way, whereof he said to thee that thou shouldest see it no more. There shalt thou be sold to thine enemies for bondmen and bondwomen, and no man shall buy you.Our Lord shal bring thee againe with shippes into Ægypt by the way, wherof he said to thee that thou shouldest see it no more.
