And when a famine had risen in the land, after that sterility that had chanced in the days of Abraham, Isaac went to Abimelech king of the PalestinesVulgate: Palæstinorum: the Philistines into Gerara.AND when a famine had risen in the land, after that sterilitie that had chanced in the dayes of Abraham, Isaac went to Abimelech king of the Palestines into Gerara.Orta autem fame super terram post eam sterilitatem, quæ acciderat in diebus Abraham, abiit Isaac ad Abimelech regem Palæstinorum in Gerara.

³And sojourn in it, and I will be with thee, and will bless thee: for to thee and to thy seed I will give all these countries, accomplishing the oath which I sware to Abraham thy father.And soiourne in it, and I wil be with thee, and wil blesse thee: for to thee and to thy seed I wil giue al these countries, accomplishing the oath which I sware to Abraham thy father.et peregrinare in ea : eroque tecum, et benedicam tibi : tibi enim et semini tuo dabo universas regiones has, complens juramentum quod spopondi Abraham patri tuo.

⁴And I will multiply thy seed as the stars of heaven: and I will give to thy posterity all these countries: and in thy seed SHALL BE BLESSED all the nations of the earth,And I wil multiplie thy seed as the starres of heauen: and I wil giue to thy posteritie al these countries: and in thy seed SHAL BE BLESSED al the nations of the earth,Et multiplicabo semen tuum sicut stellas cæli : daboque posteris tuis universas regiones has : et benedicentur in semine tuo omnes gentes terræ,

⁵because Abraham obeyed my voice, and kept my precepts and commandments, and observed my ceremonies and laws.because Abraham obeyed my voice, and kept my preceptes and commandments, and obserued my ceremonies and lawes.eo quod obedierit Abraham voci meæ, et custodierit præcepta et mandata mea, et cæremonias legesque servaverit.

¹¹He that shall touch this man's wife, dying shall die.He that shal touch this mans wife, dying shal die.Qui tetigerit hominis hujus uxorem, morte morietur.
