21Jahel therefore the wife of Haber took a a tent-peg, a stake (driven to fasten the tent), not a small carpentry nail · Vulgate: clavum: peg, nail of the tabernacle, taking besides, at the same time · Vulgate: pariter: likewise, also a hammer also: and going in secretly, and with silence she put the nail upon the the temple of the head, the flat side of the forehead, not a place of worship · Vulgate: tempus (capitis): the temple of the head of his head, and striking it with the hammer, fastened it into his brain even to the ground: who joining deep sleep and death together, fainted, and died.Iahel therfore the wife of Haber tooke a nayle of the tabernacle, taking withal a hammer also: and going in secretely, and with silence she put the naile vpon the temple of his head, and striking it with the hammer, fastened it into his braine euen to the ground: who ioyning deepe sleepe and death together, fainted, and died.Tulit itaque Jahel uxor Haber clavum tabernaculi, assumens pariter et malleum : et ingressa abscondite et cum silentio, posuit supra tempus capitis ejus clavum, percussumque malleo defixit in cerebrum usque ad terram : qui soporem morti consocians defecit, et mortuus est.
22And behold Barac following Sisara came: and Jahel going forth to meet him, said to him: Come, and I will shew thee the man whom thou seekest. Who when he was entered in unto her, saw Sisara lying dead, and the nail fastened in his temples.And behold Barac folowing Sisara came: & Iahel going forth to meete him, said to him: Come, and I wil shew thee the man whom thou seekest. Who when he was entred in vnto her, saw Sisara lying dead, and the nayle fastened in his temples.Et ecce Barac sequens Sisaram veniebat : egressaque Jahel in occursum ejus, dixit ei : Veni, et ostendam tibi virum quem quæris. Qui cum intrasset ad eam, vidit Sisaram jacentem mortuum, et clavum infixum in tempore ejus.
